About Me.
Hello.
I'm Sharon and I am a qualified psychotherapist in Transactional Analysis.
For 18 years I dedicated myself to working in the NHS. From working in hospital wards and clinics as an assistant technical officer with the lung function team to more recently as an assistant practice manager of a GP surgery in Carlton, Nottingham. A high standard of patient care and support had been the philosophy of my NHS career.
I whole heartedly believe in counselling and its ability to change lives. This was and still is, my motivation for training in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy. I have experienced how positive, transformative and to be honest, sometimes painful the therapy process can be but I believe the process is worthwhile.
I work with clients in private practice under supervision. Supervision is required for all psychotherapists, whether they are fully qualified or a trainee. Attending supervision forms part of a therapist's ethical practice and ensures that you are receiving the most appropriate care.
I have the appropriate registration with UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis) and EATA (European Association for Transactional Analysis) and the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).). I adhere to their code of ethics.
My practice is in Kegworth, a village just 10 miles south of Nottingham city, on the border of Derbyshire and Leicestershire. More information about where I practice from is available on our website or on Counselling Directory.
